Landhaus zur TanneTimo Beckmann was born in Germany. Growing up in a quaint suburban neighborhood, he started traveling to many far and distant countries. He also spent an academic exchange year in the United States. He studied Business Administration and Economics while working in the Insurance Business, and tutored students in mathematics and English. Being a passionate driver, he worked for various travel companies driving tour busses across Europe. As such he witnessed the civil unrest in Croatia, experienced the exciting events surrounding the Fall of the Wall in 1989, and saw Europe growing together.

In 1997, he emigrated Germany and settled in the foothills of Mt. Rainier in Washington State. Soon after he completed his Bachelor degrees in German and in Education with honors, and a Master in Education. He is certificated to teach German and English as a Second Language. He also completed a course of study for the design of online learning programs. Inspired by the diversity of cultures he had experienced on his travels, he took a special interest in students that could not be accommodated in a regular classroom. He taught at-risk students in alternative school settings and managed an independent reintegration program for truant students. In the wake of the Internet revolution, Timo Beckmann continued working with alternative students in independent hybrid learning programs.

Timo Beckmann is happily married to his wife of ten years and has one son from a previous marriage living in Germany. A newly discovered hobby is making some delicious jams and jellies. They are a bit unique as he makes them spicy. These hot spicy jams and jellies have become a favorite among friends and will be introduced on this website.
